Tzer0 worked with Morrow Design in Chicago to develop a linear axis servo drive system for a medical lab device. The sub-system collects one of several assay trays and presents it to an instrument for analysis. The drive had to be robust and operate precisely.
We reduced part count while improving precision. Features were incorporated which make factory assembly and field service easier. The design is elegant and will keep this lab device operating reliably and repeatedly.
